FOOD OF THE DAY: FUCHKA
While writing this blog i can literally feel my craving for this particular food. Hello people! I’m talking about the most famous street food of Bangladesh “FUCHKA” which has also made its way to the posh restaurants. Today i will write a little about its history and recipe. Image source: Pinterest History of Fuchka: I once read somewhere that, the famous character “Draupadi” of Hindu mythology first invented Fuchka as her mother-in-law Kunti gave her a challenge with potato and flour to make something which would satisfy everyone’s hunger. So she thought of making something like Puri which eventually became Fuchka. There are lots of different stories regarding this food but no doubt it is delicious in any way. Other names of Fuchka: • Panipuri •Phulki •Golgappa •Gupchup Types: • Normal Fuchka •Dahi Fuchka •Bombay chilli Fuchka (very spicy) •Chocolate Fuchka Though nowadays there are different varieties of Fuchka to attract more customers.
